Grain Aeration Duct Made From Tractor Inner Tube
Meredith Knox, 1124 Henleaze Ave., Moose Jaw, Sask. Canada (ph 306 692-8119; mcknox@shaw.ca): “Mice chewed so many holes in my canvas grain aeration duct that I discarded it and replaced it with a tractor inner tube. The 20.8/38 tube fit over the fan’s 9 by 14-in. square outlet with a little overlap, but other tube sizes could be adapted to round outlets. When I store the duct away for the winter, it’s nice to know that mice won’t touch a rubber inner tube.”
