"Fresh" Inventory Makes All States A Great Used Parts Source
All States Ag Parts is one of the largest suppliers of used, new and rebuilt tractor and combine parts in North America. With new salvage tractors and combines arriving daily, All States Ag Parts is able to keep up with the high demand for used parts for both antique and late model tractors.
“We have three full-time salvage buyers and they do a fantastic job of keeping us stocked with the parts that today’s farmers need to keep running. With tighter parts inventories at the local dealerships, our used parts not only save a farmer money, but also precious time because our parts are on the shelf and ready to be used now,” says John Dyke, CEO of All States Ag Parts.
Once a tractor, combine or other piece of ag equipment is delivered to one of the stores, it hits the teardown shop. In the teardown shop, all the critical parts are taken off the machinery and inspected by skilled mechanics. Once the part passes inspection, it’s cleaned up, labeled and stored inside one of warehouses until a farmer or repair shop needs it, explains Dyke. “Our inspection process is extremely important. We want all of our parts to work when the farmer gets them installed. For those rare occasions when an inspected part does fail, we offer a 1-year replacement warranty on all of our used parts.”
The shells of torn-down tractors and combines are then moved into the salvage yard, where they remain until being sent to a metal recycling plant. All States recycles all of the unused metal parts, oil, anti-freeze, tires and other materials from every piece of equipment that goes through their yard.
“It’s not only good business, but when you serve an industry that relies the earth’s resources, we need to do the best we can to conserve those resources,” says Dyke.
All States Ag Parts also rebuilds many used parts as well.
“There are often parts that hit our salvage yard that do not pass our used parts inspection process due to bad seals, worn gears, cracked housings and a variety of other reasons. Many of these parts are sent to one of our rebuild shops where mechanics completely tear down the part and replace all of the worn or broken components,” says Dyke. “Once we’re done rebuilding it, the part will meet or exceed the original OEM specs.”
Chad Bagby, New Parts Division Manager, says, “Even with our huge used parts inventory and our parts rebuilding program, we still have parts that are simply not available in sufficient quantity. That’s when I get involved in finding sources for new aftermarket parts.”
All States produces a free 344-page catalog featuring their new aftermarket parts and most of their rebuilt parts.
