How Can I Do That
Spend more time stacking bales and less time pulling out of them with Westendorf’s Automatic Stack Saver.
This bale spear holds the bale stationary as it releases the spear – without disturbing the stack. It’s a simple, mechanical cure to a problem that does not require hydraulics.

Les Evans of Chattaroy, WA wrote in to us with his comments. “Having used the original 3-prong round bale spear with great success for several years, I am especially impressed with the Stack Saver II attachment that I purchased this summer. I thought that having a push bar needing no additional hydraulic line was an interesting concept. Then I used it to stack one-ton square bales three high in the barn. Despite limited clearance within the building, I was able to create straight, safe stacks in a time efficient manner. Stacking and unloading the semi-truck is no problem with the Stack Saver II. Placing bales on the flatbed that fit together tightly and straight made the hauler smile with approval.”

Models are available for square or round bales. Both models make use of the loader’s existing hydraulic cylinder that’s designed to tilt the bucket forward or back.
The Stack Saver is easy to set up and easy to use. Fits most makes of loaders.
