High-Speed Hitching
We're betting that a lot of FARM SHOW readers will be able to use the unique arch hitch developed by Ralph Christensen, of Badger, S. Dak.
Called the Vari-Pol, it allows you to do two or more jobs in one operation. The high-speed hitching rig pictured turns on a dime and, by combining drilling with disking, eliminates one tractor and one operator. For wing-type disks, a high arched Vari-Pol hitch is available to clear the wings when in the raised position.
The hookup adapts to discs, diggers, cultivators, rotary hoses and other implements, allowing you to plant or drill back and forth, or around fields. It helps prevent sliding of equipment on slopes and eliminates tractor wheel tracks. Hydraulic and other lines between the tractor and rear implement are threaded inside the hollow Vari-Pol hitch for protection. Prices start at $385.
