NH Kit For Tillage Tools FERTILIZER APPLICATION Fertilizer Application (58f) 3-6-31 Now you can turn your chisel plow or field cultivator into a top notch anhydrous ammonia applicator, thanks to a new NH3 conversion kit introduced by Ace Services, Colby, Kan.
The kit includes an A-frame hitch to pull the anhydrous amonia tank, a meter and meter control, and all the necessary hose, fittings and hardware.
Special ammonia knives are available to replace the regular sweeps or chisels. Spring tooth and other finishing-type implements can be converted by the addition of special shanks to place the ammonia at sufficient depth for good sealing. Subsoilers and sweep-type shovels, which also lend themselves to conversions with special applicator tubes, are also available from Ace.
In most installations, all basic NH3 components are mounted on the nurse tank hitch so that the kit can be detached as a unit.
Ace Services notes that it will custom tailor NH3 conversion kits as needed to fit most any chisel plow, field cultivator or other tillage tool.
