Portagle Hydraualic Power Unit
"Our new heavy-duty portable hydraulic power unit was designed to operate hydraulic-powered cattle squeeze chutes but it can be used for a variety of other jobs," says Ralph Smith, Midwest Mower Mfg., Cimmaron, Kan.
The power unit's 2-stage hydraulic pump is powered by a 5 1/2 hp Honda gas engine. The pump delivers up to 11 gpm at 650 lbs. and 2.9 gpm at 2,500 lbs. Unit comes with 20 ft. of hydraulic hose.
"It eliminates the need for a tractor or pickup and, at 130 lbs., is light enough that two men can lift it into the back of a pickup," says Smith. "Works great for lifting heavy machinery in the field and to power augers on bulk seed wagons. It's also ideal for use with home-built log splitters. It has a 7-gal. oil reservoir and comes with its own hydraulic oil filter, pressure gauge, and control valve."
Sells for $1,500.
