Truck-Mounted Grain Sampler
My new truck-mounted grain sampler makes it easy to collect an accurate sample from each truck load of grain. It consists of a 1 1/2-in. dia. pipe that runs diagonally about 2 ft. off the floor of the box from front to back. There are a series of 1-in. dia. holes spaced 1 ft. apart in the top part of the pipe. As grain is loaded into the truck it fills a couple inches of pipe along both sides of each hole. Then later when the full truck is raised and unloaded more grain enters the openings to entirely fill the pipe. A spring-loaded door on back of the box is used to empty out the pipe by gravity. Sells for $149 Canadian.
