Hay Hauler Triple Axle Flatbed Trailer
Hauling square bales to auction with a thrower wagon behind a tractor was too slow. I already owned a triple axle flatbed trailer so I made racks to fit it. I bought a steering axle at a salvage yard that hooks to the front of the trailer with a simple 2-in. dia. pin. Now I can haul 175 bales at a time and travel at speeds up to 60 mph. When not in use, I lift the racks off the trailer using cable blocks hooked to the rafters in my equipment shed. (Robert O. Fox, 307 McKim Rd., New Castle, Penn. 16102)
