A new do-it-yourself kit from Solex Engineering makes it easy to turn your pickup into a dump truck without any cutting or welding, and without sacrificing any of the cargo space or changing your truck's appearance. "It will fit any two or four wheel drive full box pickup," says Russ Rogers, a Solex distributor.
T !e lift will raise up to 4,000 lb. in 16 seconds to a full 40? tilt. Because the complete conversion is bolted on without any welds, it can be transferred from the old to the new pickup when you trade. A bumper hitch for pulling up to 10,000 lbs. bolts onto the box. Or, a hitch that installs on the frame can be used for pulling heavier loads - without interferring with the dumping action of the box.
