Electric Grease Gun
"It's twice as fast as a conventional grease gun and provides the pressure needed to grease plugged zerks," says Jeff Gibbie, salesman for LubeCon Maintenance Systems, Fremont, Mich., manufacturer of a new electric grease gun that's available in both AC and DC powered models. The DC version runs off a 12-v. battery.
It takes just one hand to put the hose on the zerk and the other hand to hold the gun and squeeze the trigger.
Unit boasts 8,000 psi and has the capability of 12,000 psi build-up pressure. In comparison, a hand-powered grease gun has about 3,500 psi, says Gibbie.
Electric grease gun uses conventional grease cartridges. Sells for $119.95.
