Underwater Glue Patches PVC, Metal, Etc.
"There's never been another product like Mr. Sticky's Underwater Glue, which lets you repair leaks and assemble pipe under water," says Arthur Quinn of Mr. Sticky Inc., Fair Oaks, Calif.
The new glue adheres strongly to PVC, glass, plastic, steel, copper, and ceramic. It's flexible so it can be used on plumbing parts which shrink and expand due to heat or extreme cold. Can be applied at temperatures ranging from 40 to 100 degrees.
Some possible uses are on well pipe, irrigation equipment, rubber boots, inflatable boats, tile, rain gutters, etc. It can be used to fill gaps, such as bonding a small pipe into a larger fitting. When applied to fabric, it's flexible enough to roll up after it's dried.
"It's the only adhesive on the market that will bond without some sort of mechanical instrument," says Quinn. "In most cases, no surface preparation is necessary. It's a two-part adhesive. You put the two components together and mix before applying. The mix is good for 30 to 60 min. The bond is ready for handling in 3 to 4 hrs. It takes about 24 hrs. for a complete cure. Full bonding strength is achieved after one week. It cleans off fingers with alcohol."
  A single pack (1 fluid oz.) sells for $10.99 plus $4.95 S&H. A 2-pack sells for $19.98 plus $4.95 S&H.
