Two Behind Wrapper and Bale Trailer
The Finnish company NHK started selling wrappers in 1986 and nearly every year since then they've come out with new designs. This year at Agritechnica they showed off a new tow-behind wrapper (above) and a bale trailer (below) that pick up several bales and wrap them one after the other before unloading them.
The tow-behind unit ties into the tailgate on the baler so that it knows when a bale is about to be ejected and automatically gets into position to receive the bale. A double-arm wrapping system is available which reduces wrapping time in half. Operation is fully automatic with manual override from the tractor seat.
The wrapping bale trailer collects up to six 5-ft. bales using front-mount loading arms. When unloading, bales are moved one at a time onto a rear wrapping table where a double wrapping arm quickly wraps the bale and then drops it on the ground. The machine can transport, wrap and unload 40 bales per hour, de-pending on how far you have to transport.
