Hand-Held Sawmill
The "Logosol" mill consists of a chainsaw-type cutterbar (various lengths available) and an electric motor.
The hand-held unit is designed to slide along a metal bar that sets up on legs along-side the log being cut. Once you get the log in place, you simply adjust the bar up or down for whatever thickness of lumber you want to cut, and then slide the hand-held unit onto the bar and cut along the length of the log. A hand crank on one side of the unit reels in a length of cable threaded along the length of the bar to make it easy move the saw through the log.
Sells for about $2,000 plus the cost of accessories.
