Golf cart manufacturer Cushman showed a prototype of its new Range Cat 775 ATV. It's mounted on eight 22-in. high-flotation tires. Standard features include 8-wheel drive, all-weather canopy, zip-up doors, halogen headlights with brush guards, under-seat storage, non-slip front and rear flooring, electric wiper, and cargo bed with tie-down hand rails. Tracks with a combination of steel and reinforced rubber are optional.

The rig is 59 in. wide, 105 in. long, and 67 in. high. It's powered by a 624 cc, 2-cylinder air-cooled engine rated at 25 hp at 3,600 rpm's. It has a capacity of 775 lbs plus two passengers. Top speed is 20 mph.

The new ATV is expected to be in production by February 1998. The company also expects to offer two larger models equipped with 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engines, hydro-static transmissions, and steel cabs. Water-proofing kits will even allow them to operate in water. The rigs will sell for $16,000 to $68,000 depending on the model and options.
