Custom-Built 3-Pt. Hitches For Old Tractors
If you've got an older International Harvester, Deere, Oliver, or Allis-Chalmers tractor with-out a 3-pt. hitch, you'll be interested in this add-on unit that bolts onto the existing draw-bar.
"They work as well as conventional 3-pt. hitches found on modern tractors," says Gary Pinkelman, Hartington, Neb., manufacturer. "They come pre-assembled and are raised and lowered by a single 3 by 6-in. hydraulic cylinder, with a second cylinder optional. Only four bolts are needed for installation. The hitch weighs about 200 lbs. and has a lift capacity of up to 2,500 lbs. Both lift arms are adjustable and sway blocks are included.
"Some older tractors that have factory-equipped hitches are selling at auctions for up to $5,000 more than the same model with-out a hitch. Our hitch, equipped with a single cylinder, sells for about $695. Adding a second cylinder costs about $95."
Most demand is to fit Deere and IH tractors but Pinkelman can custom-fit many other models.
