Designer Sweatshirts
Instead of spending a lot of money on fancy designer clothes, you can dress up your old sweatshirts to look as modern as tomorrow.
"Many farm women tell me the most comfortable thing they've got to wear around the farm is their sweatshirt," says Rachel Brag, Kindred, N. Dak., whose book - How To Decorate A Sweatshirt - contains 40 full-size patterns, 10 cross-stitch designs, 8 different neckline treatments and full instructions on how to decorate sweatshirts with machine embroidery, applique, cross-stitch, and stenciling.
Brag says interest in sweatshirt decorating is growing fast and that there have recently been many articles in national women's magazines on the subject. "After teaching classes on decorating sweatshirts, I saw a need for patterns that look realistic but are not so complicated that they can't be used in machine embrodiery, machine applique and stenciling," Brag told FARM SHOW.
The patterns in her new book are full-sized and each includes full instructions. The book sells for $9.83, including postage. Brag also sells completed designer sweatshirts.
