Weed Disc For Front-Tine TIllers
"I use a front-tine roto tiller to cultivate my garden. After I run it the garden always looks good fora day or so but then weeds start coming up in the middle of the row," says Lester Ginnow, Omro, Wis.
"To work the middle strip that doesn't get tilled because it's under the gear case, I use a 5-in. dia. horizontal disc mounted on a shaft in place of the depth control stick. I set it just a little shallower than the tines.
"Both the shaft and disc rotate freely and can also be rotated by hand with a small crank on top of the shaft, if needed. Does a great job."
