Change Dual Tires The Easy Way

The Westendorf Dual Changer is an in-house creation designed to help farmers with the awkward and often physically demanding task of changing a dual tractor tire. With Westendorf’s patented Dual Tire Changer, farmers can complete this task in less than 5 min.

“Simply place the Dual Changer on the front of your loader bucket or pallet forks and pick up, transport, mount and dismount dual tires with ease using the precise 3-way alignment,” says Marketing Director Josh Westendorf.

The unique tool comes standard with both a fork box to slide over the teeth and straps to secure it around the back of a skid steer or tractor bucket. Once in place, it stabilizes itself on the bucket’s cutting edge.

The unit is designed to handle large dual-tractor tires and even works on the inner dual tire if there’s enough rim lip for it to sit on the changer’s small wheel, with the tire against the side rollers and the T-bar.

To operate the tool, ratchet it in and out, use the bottle jack to raise or lower it, and turn it to the proper position.

“We’ve had a ton of luck with these over the years when we take them to farm and equipment shows because people can see it, get their hands on it, and understand how it works,” Westendorf says. “They see firsthand how they can rotate the tires to line up the bolt holes and get these heavy tires in place exactly where they need to be.”

The Dual Changer is manufactured in Western Iowa and is available through a dealer network across North America and the Caribbean. It retails for $821, plus S&H.
