Bridge Crane Improves Shop
 ✖ |
Jerome Jirak, Waucoma, Iowa: “I bought a used bridge crane for a new shop I put up. I farm by myself, and it’s like having a second set of hands that can hold anything. It’s 60 ft. across and runs 80 ft. along the length of my shop.
“I bought a plasma cutter, and there’s nothing wrong with the cutter, but on the farm, you’re often working with old and rusted metal. Plasma cutters just don’t work very well on dirty metal. For example, if you must cut a bearing off a shaft, a cutting torch works much better.”
