All Stainless Steel Livestock Trailer
"So far as we know, it's the first and only one like it in the world," says Real Indus-tries, Rathwell, Man., of its all stainless steel (except for the wooden floor) livestock trailer.
Up to now, aluminum has been the standard of top quality in livestock trailers. But it has some shortcomings, such as being vulnerable to salt corrosion, and being tough to weld when it cracks.
"You eliminate these and other problems with stainless steel," notes Ken Darling, sales manager.
Real Industries offers all stainless steel trailers in two sizes ù 7 by 17 and 7 by 20. They list (in Canadian dollars) for $12,950 and $14,950, respectively. That's about double the company's price tag on standard steel livestock trailers.
Both stainless steel models are equipped with rubber torsion tandem axles, 2-way locking back door, locking side escape door and a 5 year warranty. Options include gooseneck divider, rubber matting and aluminum wheels.
