De-Icer for sewer vents

"Don't endanger the lives and health of the occupants of your home because of a frozen shut sewer vent," advises the manufacturer of "The Clear Vent."
Using energy from the sun, it costs nothing to operate and is maintenance free. A built-in magnifying lens focuses de-icing sunlight onto the sewer vent to prevent ice from plugging it, the manufacturer points out. Installs in minutes on 2, 3 or 4-in. dia. sewer vents without requiring removal of flashing around the vent.
Sells for $49.50, plus $2.50 for shipping.
