Heavy-Duty “Smoker Grill” Made From Propane Tanks
Joel Lawler of Bowie, Texas, used the rounded ends of a propane tank to fabricate this heavy-duty smoker grill. A second smaller tank serves as the firebox.
“I ducted the heat and smoke through two 6-in. pipes, which lead from the top of the firebox tank to just under the grate on the main smoker,” says Lawler. “I also added an adjustable flu and several adjustable ventilation ports that allow me to control the heat very accurately.
“The only drawback to this great smoker is that I have to use a tractor if I want to move it.”
