BaleKnife Slices Upward, Grabs Wrap Or Netting
A Canadian company has a new efficient and time-saving way to slice big round bales and manage bale wrap or netting.
“The BaleKnife comes up from the bottom and lifts the plastic away at the top, so no plastic falls into the TMR mixer,” says Ryan Frey, general manager about HLA Attachments new bale slicer.
“You never have to get out of the tractor.”
The top clamp holds the plastic or netting so that after the bale has been sliced and dropped, the bale wrap can be dropped where the operator wants it to go – and not in the feed.
The BaleKnife requires a mid to large skidsteer or loader and has a quick-tach mount. It is available in 3 sizes for round bales, 4, 5 and 6-ft.
For information about cost and distributors, contact the company and check out its website.
