Tank Keeps Fish Fresh For The Dinner Table
"Carp are raised in a -acre pond. The owners place 3-ft. high netting around it to keep herons and similar birds from wading in to fish.
"Larger fish are seined from the pond in November and transferred to a 300-gal. in-ground tank near the farm home that serves as a living refrigerator. Fresh water is added daily, and a wooden cover is kept in place to keep the water from freezing. Fish are netted as needed for family meals or for sale."
