Grasshopper Made From Scrap Materials
I made this grasshopper from scrap materials. The body is made from an 18-in. pipe wrench and the wings are old metallic U-shaped curtain holdbacks I riveted to the wrench. The large legs are 3/8 in. rebar, the others are 3/16 in. smooth weld wire. The feelers are 1/8 in. smooth wire. The wrench is adjustable in order to "feed" the grasshopper. (R.E. Wilkins, 1024 S.
