"Liner Tongue" Closes Gap Between Pickup Bed And Tailgate
Here's a simple solution to an old problem: Dirt and debris falling through the gap between pickup beds and tailgates.
Made of high strength polyester, the new "Liner Tongue" is a 6-in. wide strip that fastens in place using 10 zinc-plated self-tapping screws. It's designed to be used only on pickups equipped with bed and tailgate liners. You stuff the edges of the material under both the liner and tailgate cover, with 1/2 to 2 in. of overlap. The strip folds down into the gap whenever the tailgate is up.
"It keeps junk out of the gap which might bend the tailgate as you close it and keeps road dust from blowing up into pickup boxes with caps on them," says John Kowalski, Load Hog Industries, Aliquippa, Pa. "We offer it in one size which you trim to fit, using a scissors. It comes in yellow or black and has a lifetime warranty."
  Sells for $29.95 plus S&H.
