Bug Suit Keeps Insects Away CROPS Insect Control 20-3-33 You can keep all biting, probing, and stinging insects away with this new lightweight bug suit that's been proven from the rain forests of Costa Rica to the north woods of Canada, according to the designer.
The Bug Taboo suit is made of a tightly woven micro-mesh polyester material originally used for filtering air in submarines, says Dan Hunsinger of NetWorks Enter-prises.
Because it's designed to billow out when worn, it keeps mosquitoes off the skin, and because it assumes the temperature of the air instead of the body, ticks, flies and gnats won't bother you either, Hunsinger says. The suit has a slight negative electrostatic charge which also helps reduce the number of insects attracted to you, he adds.
The entire suit weighs only 8 oz. but is strong, tear-resistant and cleans up easily. Comes with attached hood and head net. Available in six adult, three children's sizes.
