Take a small amount of corn and grind it fine. Chew this cornmeal till the saliva changes the starch to sugar. Mixed chewed meal with more cornmeal till a stiff batter results. Dig a hole in the ground 4 ft. in dia. and 1 ft. deep. Line with corn husks. Pour in batter to depth of 3 in. Cover with corn husks and damp earth. Keep a fire burning over hole all night.
